I am a non-binary person that hopes to better my community.
Why would you be a good leader of your Freshman class? You may include any leadership advocacy type of experience you have done.
I would be a good leader because of my ability to advocate for those around me. On many occasicons my friends have felt uncomfortable talking to people with authority. One example would be when my friend was struggling with writing for a class due to a learning disabilty. I helped them talk to a teacher and worked with her to find fair accomadations.
What ideas do you believe you could bring to the table in Student Government Association? How would you pursue these changes?
I could bring ideas for more inclusion for people who identify as LGBTQIA+. One change would be the creation of more gender neutral bathrooms. There are often times when there are no bathrooms I and my friends can go to without walking ten minutes which cannot always be achieved between classes. This is a large issue that causes many non-binary students to feel unwelcome.
