Bulldog Lobby Day - TBD
Bulldog Lobby Day will take place during Spring Semester. This is a day where Student Government Association takes as many students, faculty/staff members, alumni, or anyone who’d like to advocate for this University up to the MN State Capitol and ask for funding support from the MN State legislators.
On this year's lobbying agenda, UMD is requesting funding for AB Anderson Hall. It houses nearly 500 majors each year as well as classrooms, fine arts studios, kilns, workspace, and academic offices. The building needs critical mechanical and life safety system upgrades!
An investment in our University is an investment in Minnesota! We need to support students in order for us to become ready for the workforce and leaders of our state. Having the chance for us to meet with our legislators to share our student experiences will hopefully encourage them to invest in UMD’s older buildings that will enhance the learning environment. Students deserve a modern and comfortable learning space to ensure success.
